Hi,
We are a company called Orillion, we develop Telcecom Software
especially Network Management Systems.
Here we are having a NMS called OVista which runs in OpenStep
environment, and we are planning to port it to GNUstep. WE need all the help we
can for this.
We could install GNUstep on our Solaris 2.6 machines, but were
having few problems
1. Everything was
installed , but the last utility GDNC could not be built, the following error
came
*********************************************************************************
Undefined
first

symbol in file objc_thread_remove ../Source/shared_obj/sparc/solaris2.6/gnu-gn u-gnu/libgnustep-base.so objc_thread_add ../Source/shared_obj/sparc/solaris2.6/gnu-gn u-gnu/libgnustep-base.so ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to shared_obj/sparc/sola ris2.6/gnu-gnu-gnu/gdnc collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[3]: *** [shared_obj/sparc/solaris2.6/gnu-gnu-gnu/gdnc] Error 1 make[2]: *** [gdnc.build] Error 2 make[1]: *** [gdnc.all.tool.variables] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/u01/GnuStep/gnustep-base-1.0.2/Tools' make: *** [internal-all] Error 2 **********************************************************************************************
2. After this
when we build small applications they were getting built normally, but not so
when we include Foundation Frameworks. Errors like above were
coming
3. We are planning to port our
client-side applications to GNUstep on NT. Foe that we understand first we need
to install CYGWIN on NT. Our question is whether GUI of GNUstep runs on NT. The
GNUstep document 'How-To" says only base is supported, gui backend not
supported? Can we get any further help on it

Thank you very much
