New 'back' backend

Just did a fresh install of this onto a machine (all previous traces and
environment variables removed). All builds fine, but trying to run
anything gives:

Apr 04 23:38:33 ASRPView[9498] NSApplication.m:194  Assertion failed in 
initialize_gnustep_backend.  Unable to load backend, aborting
Uncaught exception NSInternalInconsistencyException, reason: 
NSApplication.m:194  Assertion failed in initialize_gnustep_backend.  Unable to 
load backend, aborting

I;m sure this was mentioned before with the new backend, but II cant find
the reference, nor an easy fix for it... somebody like to hit
me with the clue--stick please ?
