Can someone inform me on the status of gdb 5.1.x and the support for Objective-C ? Are there patches or aren't they needed any more? Dennis
Dennis,The last I heard, Objective-C support has not made it into the main line of gdb code. My most recent patches are for 5.0 and, sad to say, they aren't complete. In the process of updating the 4.17 patches to 4.18 to 5.0, some parts wouldn't apply. When the fix was obvious, I made it. However, when I couldn't figure how to make a skipped piece fit, it got left out. The end result is a usable gdb-5.0-objc which is most likely missing little bits of Objective-C support.
Given Apple's release of their gdb modifications and the likelihood of their being applied to the gdb tree _some_day_, I haven't made any further efforts. AFAIK, gdb-5.1 doesn't include Objective-C support and there is no patch for gdb-5.1-objc.
