A new release of GNUstep Renaissance is available. This is version 0.6.0.
The new release includes (between other things) a new image tag; many
fixes and improvements for all controls; rewritten/fixed sending
awakeFromGSMarkup; added class attribute; more powerful embedded outlets;
implemented optional displaying of autolayout containers for
debugging/graphical editing purposes. Other minor changes everywhere.
Go grab it at
http://www.gnustep.it/Renaissance/
(or from GNUstep CVS, under dev-libs/Renaissance).
The web page contains a ready-to-install binary for Apple Mac OS X as
well. On Apple you can just install that binary, and then use the
framework as a native Apple Mac OS X framework to write your graphical
apps ... which will then automatically be easily portable to GNUstep,
including the UI! :-)
Tested on both GNU/Linux (GNUstep) and Apple Mac OS X (Cocoa).
I'd like to thank everyone having submitted comments and suggestions! :-)
Pete French deserves a special note for his continuous and intense bug
reporting / feature missing reporting activity. :-) Thanks Pete!
