I switch off all window-make themes and 'modern' style graphics and use it as NeXT-like as I can. I still like the NeXt style interface more than anything else I've used, and that includes MacOS-X with its fancy graphics ... though I did drool over the MacOS-X
interface for a while when I first got it.

That being said ... I believe in letting people have what they want ... so I'd keep the ability to customize stuff, but make the default appearance pure NeXT, and
provide a *very* simple way to revert to that default.
