Well, I could add a Preference where you can edit this list; but I want to keep 
also the actual .hidden system.

With the exception of true GNUstep-centric distributions, I doubt that
we will see a /.hidden file in any distribution at all. Thus, it might
be a good idea to have a user-specific way to hide files/folders in the
root folder.
