With the discussion on unifying the runtimes, I wanted to do some comparisions on apple's and gnu's objc runtimes. I've tried to compile apple's runtime on linux, but it has some dependencies on some external files (I just took the objc4 package from apple, uncompressed and did a makethat complained on many files, I did not dig any further). So, my question is, has anybody had success in compiling (and running) apple's runtime on linux? What is needed?
Well, some part of the Apple ObjC runtime is written in Assembly. This could cause problems.
