Hi all,
I did some work on old, which is now named cod and created version 0.2.0
cod is now capable of detecting commands too. It has a 'which' like
function extended with the ability to print the version. The commandline
syntax has changed:
-p prints the path
-i prints the header (if applicable)
-v prints the version
-c gives you the ability to compare versions
-a prints all information available
You can not combine options.
And it now also detects libfreetype correctly (thanks Alex).
To get cod working you need sciomachie version 0.3.0 which can be
downloaded from http://tools.made-it.com/
This should help in detecting the right version of a library/command
installed. And ofcourse some libs/commands can't be detected by the
generic function, so they need scripts in /usr/lib/cod.d additions are
highly appreciated.
If people could test this on different GNU/Linux distributions and other
Unix-flavours... that would be great.
cod is available from http://ocean.made-it.com/Tools/
Happy Stepping,
Dennis
