This is what I get:
# gdnc -f:
"unable to get name of current host using 'localhost'"
"unable to register with name server as GDNCServer - quiting"
# gdomap -N:
"gethostbyname() failed: Connection refused"
# gdomap:
"unable to bind address to TCP socket. Perhaps gdomap is already running."
gdomap is not running. gdnc is not running. I don't have an ethernet card.
Do I need one? inetd is running.
