Cocoa plain  sucks: everything's white and  indicernable.  You'd think
you're working in  a fog.  Nobody can see what's  the main window. You
spend twice the  time needed to position and  grow the windows because
there's no grow bar, etc, etc.

As with most esthetics, it's a matter of opinion. The standard Aqua theme looks nice to me, you obviously don't agree. The best way for everyone to have a pleasant desktop is to provide support for themes so that each can have a desktop they like, while all of us benefit from the superior system architecture present in the GNUstep framework.
