I'll try to update this before the release. Actually, I might put the detailed explanation in the gsdoc, not the man page, since it's more relevant to developers. In the release it will end up accessible under file:///$GNUSTEP_ROOT/Library/Documentation/index.html, follow link for "Command-line Tools".
Incidentally, GNUstep.7 seems to be installed from the "gnustep-make" package ("man GNUstep"), though it might not be in the previous release, and in any case probably didn't have information you were looking for.
