Okay, guess I got a little confused. I don't know why, but Fink seems to 
work now. So, I have the Fink stuff in /sw (libtiff, libpng, libungif, 
openssl, libxml2, libart, libfreetype2), and the hand-compiled stuff 
(gcc342, another libtiff) in /usr/local as well.

I hope that second copy won't cause problems? It popped up there because 
it would build, different from the openssl lib. Otherwise, which one 
would I best delete?
