I believe this was a problem with NSDistantObject
fixed
in base by Alexander Malmberg's 2004-08-05 checkin, at
least I had similar results with that method not being
called until that checkin.
Although this seems to have been 2 months before
Wolfgang's original email. If he could verify whether
or not this happens with a 1.10.0 or 1.10.1 release.
