We really need to get GNUstep pre-packaged into some of the more popular
distributions. One of the largest blockers to use of GNUstep be more users is
lack of "ready to run" packages.
This is one of the largest problems GNUstep faces, does anyone know what
procedure we need to go through or who we need to talk to in order to get
GNUstep into SuSE or Fedora, as I believe that Debian and Gentoo are not
enough. Debian, Gentoo and Slackware are good distributions, but they are
normally perceived as "geek" distros. The most overwhelmingly popular
distributions and would provide the most exposure to GNUstep.
The purpose of this thread is not to weigh the merits of one dist over another,
but I am simply stating the facts in the sense that we need to have more
exposure on widely used Linux distros into order to help GNUstep.
Any thoughts?
