Hey steppers,
I just released netclasses 1.03. There were some minor bug fixes, but
the biggest change was moving some of it to autoconf so it would build
cleanly on OS X (and hopefully) other platforms.
Hit http://netclasses.aeruder.net for the source and OS X binaries.
Netclasses is an asynchronous networking library that works with GNUstep
and Mac OS X. Out of the box, it gives a nice, asynchronous, and
object-oriented interface for IRC, line-based, and raw TCP/IP
connections. Users can easily subclass the raw TCP/IP or line-based
interfaces to create asynchronous interfaces for other sorts of connections.
Special thanks go out to my buddies Cole Hoosier and Mr. Alex Perez for
helping me out with the Mac versions of everything. (Thanks a ton guys!)
Also I'd like to Jeremy Tregunna for some initial work on UDP support
which will hopefully be a new feature for 1.04. Many thanks also go out
to the numerous people who have provided feedback, bug reports, or bug
fixes.
Thanks,
Andrew Ruder
