I spoke too soon. Even after I increased file-max to a rediculous
value, I am getting "too many open files" errors with large
directories. The exact error I am getting is:
2005-02-23 21:05:25.000 searchtool[16713] Failed to recurse into
directory '/home/karnak/Documents/temp/test/testxxx' - Too many open
file
The only problem that I can think of is that since I transferred the
directories of files from a Windows Machine, it does have some weird
characters in the file and directory names (such as spaces) which
needs to be quoted.
