Isn't it a bit outdated to return a MS-DOS 5.x string?


Backwards compatibility with MS-DOS is a Windows feature.

Nevertheless GNUstep should handle this. Either by changingNSTemporaryDirectory() or by hacking openStepPathFromLocal and/orstringByStandardizingPath.I guess the task of GNUstep is to encapsulate all this awfuloperating system functions. So GNUstep have be to hacked.
