DISPLAY is set to the FQDN:0.0 by default. I also tried to just use
'chuck:0.0' but no difference -- xterm etc. start up, Gorm or EasyDiff do
not.

BTW, could it be a versioning problem with libart_lgpl2 ? I', using version
2.3.17.
