Well, I've gone back and removed everything, started over, and
recompiled ffcall with:
CFLAGS="-fPIC -m64" and
CPPFLAGS="-fPIC -m64" and with
"configure --enable-shared"
That seemed to work but I still get the same error.
For those keeping track, somewhere I had an older copy of libcallback which, once removed, all things compiled just fine. Thanks for your help. I'm ready to dig in now.
