  Well, it does not happen in WindowMaker because WindowMaker knows
the internal of GNUstep.
  What I try to do is to have GNUstep work better with general window
manager so people can choose their preferred window manager.
  Your patch does not work for me as
  my previous patch on back does not work for you
  because it is a racing issue.
  I would prefer to fix the source of problem instead of hoping one
action is faster than the other.
  So you can try the latest patch on -gui and see whether it helps.
