I think the main reason for dropping the old app DB is that it was using
GNUstepWeb and I'm not sure whether we ever got admin and source code
modification access. I disagreed with the wiki being used instead,
but wasn't going to stand in the way enough to block it. I think
the discussion is probably archived on
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/gnustep-webmasters
somewhere but the search engine is being very slow for me just now.
