i am planning on developing an application and wanted to find out if the GnuStep libraries (especially Test display) is capable of rendering complex script ligatures - especially Indian languages? I will be using Unicode for all text and want to be sure they can be rendered.
At the moment GNUstep is only capable of adding very simple ligatures (ff, fi, fl and ffi) by itself. But if your code selects the glyphs for the ligatures by itself and the font you use supports them, GNUstep will display anything.
Hope this helps, Fred
