problem running apps with cairo backend |

Hi all,
After seeing 0.20.3 on Windows, I was curious to see the state of the
cairo backend. Built everything from svn trunk (as of today) on a
OpenSuSE 11.0 64 bit box. Things went fine (except for errors only
when -j4 was passed to make).
However when I run the apps, I get font not found errors. eg:
2008-10-26 09:55:40.763 SystemPreferences[15591] The font specified
for NSFont, Helvetica, can't be found.
Assuming the cairo backend uses fontconfig I tried `fc-match
helvetica` and it returned a valid font (n019003l.pfb: "Nimbus Sans L"
"Regular").
This, I tried after removing the preferences (I removed ~/GNUstep) --
just to be sure that there is no interference from the previous setups
(using the art backend).
Ideally, I'd like to get emacs.app built as that would pretty much
complete my desktop ;)
Cheers,
-Krishna

Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic
and totally illogical, with just a little bit more effort?
