GNUstep 2.4.0 for openSUSE 11.3

GNUstep binary RPMs for openSUSE 11.3 are now available. They include
the core libraries, fonts, themes and a small set of applications.
They are based on gnustep-make version 2.4.0 and the stable versions
of -base, -gui and -back.

The present packages are configured for a FHS filestore layout on an
i586 architecture machine.


Notable Changes in This Release

Built for the latest openSUSE, version 11.3.

Latest stable versions of the core libraries, with many bug-fixes and
improvements, including:

  - native Objective C exceptions are enabled
  - sound now works again

Latest version of GWorkspace

  - file search by content ("metadata") is now included

Latest version of PDFKit

  - upgrade from xpdf 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 which provides many
    rendering fixes, better compatibility with newer PDF
    versions and security fixes

Latest version of Gorm

  - bug fixes and improvements


How and Where to Get It

The package set has been made into a YaST2 repository for 'one
click' installation. Alternatively, you can download the packages
and install them under your full control.

The repository URL is:

Add this to your list of YaST2 repositories then click on one of the
'Patterns', GNUstep Base System or GNUstep Applications, to install.
