About a year ago, I tried to get the Cocoa Emacs code to work with
GNUstep. I think I even provided a few changes to the code as it had not
kept up with GNUstep changes.
Even with my patches there was a big issue with that code, somehow the
toolbar placement computation was wrong for GNUstep and I didn't have
the time to really understand all the indirections that get used in this
code. I always wanted to come back to this subject but never found the
time for it.
