I updated debian this morning it could be. The installed versions I have 
are:

ii  libcairo2      1.10.2-4       The Cairo 2D vector graphics library
ii  libcairo2-dev  1.10.2-4       Development files for the Cairo 2D 
graphics


I rebuild base, gui and back today, in the correct sequence.
