Hi thereI am using Debian stable 6.0. I installed a base system then installed the GNUstep environment using the apt package manager. The only minor issue i'm having is with text-based programs in the Terminal and with wterm which I installed as well.
Some of the punctuation characters in man pages, for example, do not appear correctly and programs that use the full terminal screen, like mutt, also share this problem. Programs that use the curses library such as the text-based package managment tools do not display properly either.
I wonder if anyone can help me to fix this, perhaps there is another library I need to install? When I searched on the internet, I came across a post where someone using Ubuntu reported a similar issue and a reply he got suggested compiling GNUstep from source rather than using binary packges. Do you think that would be necessary for this problem?
Best wishes, Jamie.
