Which version of libobjc are you using. I would have thought this is
libobjc2 from David Chisnall, that is located in the GNUstep repository.
But that should come with full blocks support.

Have been trying to use the gnustep install script which checks out and
tried to
manually compile each package using llvm/clang.
The ObjectiveC2 sub project should only be used when you either don't
have
libobjc2 or your compiler doesn't support blocks. Neither of this
conditions should normally hold for your compiler. Which version of clang
are you using and what results do you get in the config.log file for
HAVE_BLOCKS and OBJC2RUNTIME?
