Hi, Fred Kiefer wrote:
I commited Erics patch, Riccardo could you please give it a try and see whether printing is back to the old state?wow, you were both faster than me. I tried it out and I get no more exception. The xlib status is now very similar to cairo: I get the "correct" number of pages, but just a random clip of image drawn, although apparently different from cairo.
I am investigating this with Gregory and he supposes that we have a major problem (it is exactly the same problem I asked you about before your departure, remember?)
I checked the generated postscript: we encode one image and clip it, but only on one page. The other page has no apparent reference to the image. Apart from that I left Greg wondering because he has more PS experience than me.
I'd say we have xlib and cairo (I'll check art ASAP, but it shares the code with xlib) aligned now, but both broken to the original problem.
This also gives an answert to the original purpose of this test: check wether it worked on xlib nby chance and if the bug was backend dependent.
Thanks, Riccardo
