Hi,

Hello,
sorry to bother you again, but this time I have a problem with GNUMail.
I cannot send mails, I seem to have to have the same problem as
described here: lists.gnu.org/archive/html/discuss-
<http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/discuss->*gnustep*/2012-05/msg00056.html.
that message describes a problem building GNUMail with missing Addresses
framework.
I can send mails with the SimpleSMTP program in the Pantomime
examples, but when using the same parameters in the Preferences, I
always get the error SMTP authentication failed for account...
Is there a version of GNUMail where this problem has been solved: I
also saw mails from people saying it worked for them.
SMTP works, but authentication style detection not, thus if you need
authentication, that's the problem.
I wasn't able to fix it yet, I can't understand what is wrong! It works
on Mac 10.4, this makes me suspect about a difference with GNUstep. I
tried to engage Gregory and Richard helping me debugging this, it is
really itching me since months, but up to now I got nothing concrete. I
hope Richard is able to help us soon, a lot of people would benefit from
a working GNUmail!
By the way, GWorkspace is working fine for me now, thanks a lot.
Good to know! I did further cleanups, but I wanted to follow Fred's
improvements, but wasn't able yet, there are a couple of things I don't
understand.
Hope to read your answer with GNUMail.
You should be able to read, just not to send :)
