gnustep-make broken on BSD

Hi,

"clean" target in gnustep-make is broken on a system where the default 
make is not used

Here the output of clean inside core/make

$ gmake clean
(cd Documentation; make distclean)
make: don't know how to make distclean

clearly it attempts to run "make" instead of running the command I typed 
myself.
