building latest gnustep-make : failure ...

hello,
i am trying to make gnustep-make and install it on my fresh netbsd 6.1.5 amd64
installation
using the lastest source from gnustep.org and invoking configure with the
following options;
./configure --prefix=/usr/pkg --with-layout=fhs
the output of that invocation is as below;

i have installed all the mandatory pre-requisite stuff installed.
