It's hard to volunteer for an undefined task and unspecified obligations. What sort of work is lacking in manpower on Savannah? And, should creating new repositories for a member project require manpower in the first place? What is Savannah written in?

It is curiously difficult to find Savane's source code. This does not seem complete, and some of it is outright terrifying:

I'm also hoping there is a strong vetting process for potential administrators on something as seemingly critical as Savannah.
