Riccardo,GNUMail works well enough: even the attachments work, as you said. I had not expected that the pictures would be added at the bottom of the mail.
I should have scrolled down: GNUMail: 1 - Me: 0! It's not yet a relacement for GMail, but one never knows... Thanks, into GNUstep
