Hi Steven,
great that you volunteer! Greg already replied with information on the webpage
part. For gcc things are a bit more complicated. The notes that Greg took leave
out a bit of the discussion there. The problem is not whether gcc maintainers
would accept our patches. It is rather that to come up with a solution here we
all agreed that help from some gcc developers would be required. We don’t know
whether anybody there is willing to support us. Previous attempts were not very
promising. What I could do is get you in contact with RMS who offered to help
to get the necessary people together. I also have some preliminary ideas on how
to address the issues. Contact me directly if you are interested.
