I didn't rewrite the scripts; I modified scripts by @plaurent, which I had already used, to be more generic. I encountered @plaurent's scripts before encountering yours, so I had been already familiar with them.

You never specified what the issue with you signing a copyright assignment would be.   I would very much like some clarification on that as you seem to want to contribute to the project.

If you want to customize the installation paramaters (for example, to install an older version of the libraries, to install from git master, or to disable the applications), please do the following:

git clone https://github.com/ethanc8/gnustep-build
nano generic/build.sh # Or your favorite text editor
./generic/build.sh
