We are talking about an ERP, not a browser or a music player ! an
ERP often needs several months to be put in production, and we dont
change version every 6 months !
My 2 cents as an integrator.

It is just a release calendar to set the steps no ?
Versions doesn't need to have a certain amount of new
features... except in commercial softwares maybe...
And the pace is great to focus attention of dev
community just before releases to correct issues as Rdoursenaud
wants to invite.
It should be great to find a way to focus attention
of users and theirs integrators also to report bugs and requests
just after the release to set a certain "rythm" also.
I imagine that the sooner and less stable the release
is... the later the migration of users will be so it is good for
Devs to have time to adapt modules ;)
Users willing to adopt a 3.9 should wait 3.9.1 to get
semi solid production environment and 3.9.2 to have a stable
one.

Hi everyone,
The free software is all about release early, release often.
No matter how much we wait, there will never be a perfectly
ironed out
version.
Much less when some want to push major features just before
release.
If there's something the 3.8 release taught us, it is that
bugs were
uncovered too late in the release cycle.
So start testing, reporting and fixing bugs now!
There's already 19 issues that needs fixing:
https://github.com/Dolibarr/dolibarr/milestones/3.7.3
https://github.com/Dolibarr/dolibarr/milestones/3.8.3
https://github.com/Dolibarr/dolibarr/milestones/3.9.0
I'll start a marathon tomorrow from noon till dawn (CET
timezone), anyone
interested, join me on #dolibarr IRC channel at freenode.
Let's make it fun :)
Cheers,

Hello
Paypal stops support of TLSv1 in january 2016
Maybe we need to update paypal.lib.php
curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSLVERSION, 6); // Force TLSv1.2
>From paypal in french:

API de
l'environnement de test prendront en charge uniquement les
nouvelles
normes (HTTP/1.1, TLS 1.2 et certificats SHA-256).
www.sandbox.paypal.com
acceptera donc uniquement HTTPS pour les envois IPN.
