One of the goals of FreeDevelopers is to get organized in such a
way that you can actually get paid for working on projects like
DotGNU, and then it's only fair if those who create standards
get paid too.  (That doesn't mean though that the money has to
come out of your pocket :-)

But I feel it's very wrong if a GNU software project
effectively promotes a standard for which we don't even have the
right to distribute verbatim copies.  I think that's just as
wrong as it is wrong for a GNU project to promote proprietary
software.
