One could write a Perl system that runs on top of the
CLI that dynamically translates Perl into IL for execution.
This is how MS does JavaScript.Net, for example.  There's
no need to extend the runtime engine or compiler for
scripting languages: it's straight IL.

We do need to implement "System.Reflection.Emit" to
support scripting languages, but that's on the list anyway.

There's rumours of such things, but you'd have to talk
to the Perl community.  They'd be the best ones to take
this on.  There have been similar rumours in the Python
community.  I don't keep up with Perl/Python, so it
may have already been done or is in progress.
