Hi Everyone,
I spent a better part of tonight trying to embed python into
the Portable.Net runtime and write a pyrun executable.

The effort seems promising enough to follow , IMO . I have however
had some nasty issues with linking those .a files from pnet . And
il_engine.h seemed to be missing in ${prefix}/include/pnet.

Also we will need to work quite a bit to map all the types used by
the ilrun internals to achieve a VM to Python bridge .(ie not only
the IL or C# types).

So obviously someone will have to sit down and write wrappers for
all the ILType,ILMethod,ILClass and the other numerous IL* data
structures , as well as wrap all the functions in some meaningful

IMO this is a lot of work to handle with the current number of VM
hackers around .... Also we need someone who'll grokk python as well
as Portable.Net ...

So I would suggest that we close the python via the VM angle until
the 0.4 release....

I would still like to ask rhys about a VM via Python (like it uses GTK)
angle of things.

But first things first !... (sleep ?)

The difference between insanity and genius is measured by success
