Hi All,
I just took a look at gentoo packaging and their system seems to be
the simplest packaging you could ever imagine. So is there a gentoo user
who is ready to get hacking on an ebuild ? ...
I have a good idea on how to go about it ... But I can't get a gentoo
box here ... An ebuild is a shellscript and should be easy to write ...
src_compile() {
./configure --prefix=/usr --mandir=/usr/share/man \
--infodir=/usr/share/info || die "./configure failed"
MAKEOPTS="" emake || die
}
Which seems to be the done thing for almost all gentoo packages .... But I
need someone to work this out into a full package in a gentoo box.
Do I see a hand rise ?
Gopal
PS: slackware is next on the line here ...
