Run a strace. I think I have spotted this too. It appears it just dont get 
printed to the console.

Summary:  Exceptions do not occur in sub threads

Original Submission:  I have an application that uses Sockets, which uses 
asynchronous threads. At some point I "throw new SystemException("error 
message") in the async thread (in the async thread generated by Receive), and 
the exception is completely ignored (at least seemingly completely ignored.) No 
message is displayed and execution continues.
