Agreed, you didn't say that - I over-interpreted from the position of not being able to find any AIX information. Signs of frustration at this end...
I just searched my personal archives, and I have some private e-mail from a "Sinan Komut" who got it working with AIX 4.3 after making sure to use gmake, and not AIX's make, in February 2003. A certain "Sven Specker" contacted me in July 2003 with problems on AIX 5.1 which were eventually resolved in CVS to his satisfaction. Both were using gcc, I believe. There may have been others. In the absence of a new bug report, I have to assume that it isstill OK.
Good that gives us a starting point for deciding how to proceed with AIX-PASE-OS/400. GCC on AIX seems to be a common thread (with mono too...) rather than IBM's compilers.
Sorry, but I sometimes get confused between the mailing list archives and my own. I get a lot of pnet-related messages, and keeping them all straight is nigh on impossible. I was going from memory that "someone has done thisbefore and it worked".
Understood now. Regards, Peter Colson.
