In the mean time you can drag away each label.
In your scenarii the point A appears to be the anchor for the initial position

Title:
overlapping object names (point and line)

Status in Dr. Geo II:
  New

Bug description:
  I am using 19.09a on lubuntu 18.04.

Create three points and name them A, B, and C.
Create line AB and name it as such.
Create line AC and name it as such.
The names "A", "AB", and "AC" all overlap and are not readable.

I remember there was no such problem in 19.06a i.e. the names were in
  different places.
