Let's say that not all software that uses the autotools provide 
libraries, even some do not provide documentation created with GNU Info, 
for this reason I like to have them explicit in the recipes, 
accompanying $configure_args.  Also to avoid warnings for those 
developers who don't implement such options in the build system, and to 
avoid having to add to the recipes something like: ./configure 
$configure_args ... || true
