From my understanding, this is the point that Matías also wanted to 
make, that the user community (part of which is subscribed here) could 
support the distro, because the distro has donation channels.

FSF and GNU also are doing their best to secure funds for their 
continued work, but it's important to note that the GNU/Linux distros 
also have developers, that need to be paid for their work first and 
foremost. And Matías is the main developer.

The issue is that an independent distro like Dragora is a lot of work 
but has a smaller user base than distros that derive from popular ones, 
and probably a smaller conversion rate too (user->donor). Perhaps 
FSF/GNU could feature a Dragora crowdfunding campaign in the next months.
