Display buffer doesn't display the buffer in the other window if the
second argument is t. Execute the following test case with
emacs -Q -l <file>.el:
(progn
(defun display-buffer-checked (buffer)
(let ((selected (selected-window))
(window (display-buffer buffer t)))
(when (eq selected window)
(error "display-buffer returned selected window"))
window))
(let ((foo (get-buffer-create "foo"))
(bar (get-buffer-create "bar")))
(select-window (get-buffer-window "*scratch*"))
(save-selected-window
(select-window (display-buffer-checked foo)))
(save-selected-window
(select-window (display-buffer-checked bar)))))
This is the same test case as for bug#1415. Dammit! Would you people
please stop breaking the same things over and over again? Is it too
much to ask that you create and use a test suite based on the bug
reports?
