--- Begin Message --- Subject: emacsclient and new server-start corrupts minor mode menus Date: Mon, 04 May 2015 14:30:14 -0700 User-agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/31.6.0 I am admittedly not a power user of emacs bugs so I couldn't determine whether a bug has been filed against emacsclient for this yet, but
here is the bug:

Environment and how to duplicate:

Ubuntu 14.04 base install with the following default emacs packages install
emacs
emacs-goodies-el
emacs24
emacs24-bin-common
emacs24-common
emacs24-common-non-dfsg
emacsen-common

/usr/bin/emacsclient tmp.c
M-x outline-minor-mode

# The outline menu shows up and I can use it.

Now if I do

M-x server-start

#
# The outline menu no longer works.
#

This same problem also occurs for

Latex Menu and GNU Global ( ggtags-mode ).

This appears to be a bug since these menus once previously worked.

More information was requested, but none was given within 1 year, so I'm
closing this bug. If this is still an issue, please reply to this email
(use "Reply to all" in your email client) and we can reopen the bug
report.
