I just installed guix on a foreign distro. In my $HOME I didn't have a
.config directory.

(ins)efraimf@tux03:~$ time guix pull 
--commit=1b3dcb3dd266fda9732b7a8194bd24e80043fb7a
guix pull: error: while creating symlink '/home/efraimf/.config/guix/current': 
No such file or directory

Only after creating $HOME/.config/guix did guix pull work.
