We are on OS 10.9.5, we are a dental office using MacPractice practice
management software. The MacPractice software does a scheduled backup each
night then uses gzip to compress the info. We are having intermittent backup
failures and the MacPractice IT guys say that it is a failure with the gzip.
What do we need to do to reinstall or repair the gzip?

That's pretty vague, unfortunately. What exactly is the bug? Can you give us a recipe so that we can reproduce the bug?

No further comment in six years, so I'm closing this old bug report.
